I support researchers and scientific teams throughout the ERC journey: proposal-writing training, B1 and B2 development, interview preparation, ERC Synergy and the launch of funded projects.
My approach combines strategic reading of scientific proposals, scientific communication, coaching and collective dynamics.
Understand reviewers’ expectations, identify the project’s key messages, structure the proposal and develop writing that is clear, strategic and immediately readable.
The aim is not simply to explain excellent science, but to enable reviewers to rapidly understand the project’s ambition, logic and scientific significance.
Critical reading and strategic support to strengthen the structure and articulation of the proposal.
I work with applicants to make the scientific ambition and underlying logic of the project immediately visible, highlighting what makes the proposal distinctive and innovative and where its potential for scientific breakthrough lies.
Particular attention is given to the consistency between the project’s main gap, targeted breakthrough, objectives, methodology, feasibility and expected outcomes.
Build a clear and compelling presentation, anticipate panel questions, develop precise and convincing answers, and work on presence, communication and stress management.
Preparation includes mock interviews under conditions close to the ERC interview, followed by detailed feedback and targeted coaching.
A Synergy project is not a collection of individual projects. It is an integrated scientific endeavour.
I support PIs in making a genuine scientific synergy emerge throughout the design of the project, the proposal and the interview preparation.
We work on building a shared understanding of the project, identifying why the consortium is essential to achieving the targeted scientific breakthrough, and making explicit what becomes possible through the interaction between the PIs that none of them could achieve independently.
The objective is to move beyond complementary expertise towards genuine integration: a project in which the approaches of the PIs inform, challenge and reshape one another, generating knowledge that could not emerge from several independent projects.
Winning the grant is also the beginning of a new collective endeavour.
I support ERC teams as they move from proposal to implementation, creating the foundations for sustainable collaboration around roles, ways of working, communication, expectations and team dynamics.
I have supported ERC applicants since 2019, individually and collectively, in France and across Europe.
Over the years, I have developed an approach combining strategic proposal review, scientific communication, coaching and collective dynamics.
I work on Starting, Consolidator, Advanced and Synergy Grants, both with applicants and with the research support professionals who accompany them.
